Heat Transfer Analysis of Plate Fin Heat Sink with Dimples and Protrusions: Investigation of New Designs

Numerous works have been carried out in the design and analysis of Heat Sink, however hardly any work reported with studies on dimples protrusions being added to heat sink geometries. This paper aims find worthiness for addition common plate fin geometries transfer enhancement. Analysis was forced convention environment 9 different velocities computationally 12 at constant flux boundary condition applied base sink. Decrease temperature thermal resistance considered as performance factors. Further these computational results were validated experimentally. The obtained from good agreement experimental results. research outcome show that has proved its slightly higher velocity regime increased a dimpled compared non-dimpled Therefore, currently developed sinks can be potential model used convection better economy.
